50 Years of #strappersurf is in full flight, so now is time for a little throwback!

Who remembers the TUBO FINS!? Initially introduced in the 70s, it wasn't until the 80s where Strapper combined Turbo Fins with the signature Scoop Deck design that things really took off!

The fins were curved on the inside face, which was used to retain water pressure when turning. Increased manoeuvrability and speed due to the extra thrust produced by turbo fins! It essentially made turning easier at a higher speed.

With #50YearsOfStrapperSurf in full flight who remembers the iconic Strapper Junior Comp!!??

Through the 90’s and 2000’s for 18 years we ran the annual Strapper Surf Junior Classic at #janjuc beach, for many of those years it was the premiere junior surf event in Victoria and was a hot spot of Vico competitive surfing.

Some classic competitors and winners come to mind from @simontripper @trickychook to @dylan_schulze @meliboo @cahill_tokenvictorian!
